Abstract

Short-lasting unilateral neuralgiform headache attacks with conjunctival injection and tearing (SUNCT) merupakan salah satu sub bagian dari short-lasting unilateral neuralgiform headache attacks. SUNCT sendiri merupakan suatu kondisi yang jarang ditemui dan ditandai dengan nyeri neuralgia tipikal sedang sampai hebat yang berlokasi pada area divisi pertama dari nervus trigeminus yang dapat dirasakan di bagian kepala mana saja. SUNCT bersifat primer dan sekunder. Gejala khas berupa nyeri kepala hebat unilateral dengan gejala otonom dengan injeksi konjungtiva bilateral dan lakrimasi dengan frekuensi serangan lebih dari 60 kali per hari (range 3 sampai 200), di mana serangan ini dapat terjadi secara spontan atau dipicu oleh stimulus mekanik pada daerah yang dipersarafi oleh nervus trigeminus dan tanpa periode refraktori setelahnya. Tatalaksana yang diberikan saat ini masih beragam yaitu pemberian obat anti epilepsi, terapi intervensional, ataupun prosedur invasif. Dibutuhkan pemahaman lanjut dalam diagnosis dan manajemen terapi yang kompleks dalam mentatalaksana pasien dengan SUNCT.
