Peran TAF (The Asia Foundation) dalam Proses Penyelesaian Konflik di Thailand Selatan

Abstract

This objective of the research is to obtain comprehensive insight about the conflict that happen in Southern Thailand, the effort of Thailand Government in settling conflict and the role of The Asia Foundation in settling conflict in Southern Thailand. The policy for mono-ethnic character of the state, political integration and political uniform by Thailand Goverment erasing the herritage of Pattani’s identity. This policy rises the violent and rebellion to the Government. Method being used in this research was qualitative.While data was collected through library research and data processing was based on descriptive analistyc model. The research show that The role of TAF is a Peacebuilder in three levels:                 (1) Government level (top leadership), (2) Level Non Goverment Organization and local leader (middle leadership), (3) people level (grassroots leadership). TAF succeeds to build peacefulness in Southern Thailand.
