In this field, the IAEA cooperates with FAO as another international organizations that play a role in world food and agriculture. One of them is cooperation in the development of soybean productivity in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative research approach, qualitative descriptive research, and data collection using library research and secondary data obtained through published data. The results of this study indicate that the IAEA and FAO through plant mutation breeding provide support and assistance to BATAN to produce superior soybean varieties using nuclear techniques. With nuclear technology, BATAN is able to produce various new varieties of soybeans that have social and economic impacts on Indonesia. In addition, in this plant mutation breeding partnership, the IAEA and FAO have demonstrated their role as an international institution, namely, first, providing information and negotiating opportunities.
