The case is increasingly acclaimed on a daily basis around the world, including in Indonesia. At the Riau Province level, 31,397 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported from 12 districts/cities on February 28, 2021 and the Pekanbaru city is the most abundant COVID-19 case report in the Riau province. By the increasing number of cases of COVID-19, The Indonesian government is socializing one of the measures to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 which is in accordance with WHO recommendations, namely by washing hands using soap and running water or using hand sanitizer. However, some people in Indonesia still consider hand washing behavior as an ordinary recommendation so there are still many people who do not apply hand washing behavior. Meanwhile shand washing behavior violations are mainly made by a group of young adults who are 18 to 25 years of age. The objective of this study was to determine the correlation of individual characteristics and hand washing behavior as COVID-19 prevention effort on young adults in Pekanbaru City 2021. This research used an analytic observational with a cross sectional study design. This research was conducted on a population of young adults in Pekanbaru City on June 2021. The sampling technique was carried out by cluster sampling with a sample size of 440 respondents. Data analysis was conducted through chi square's test and spearman's correlation test for p-value and coefficient correlation (r). There was a significant correlation between gender (p-value = 0.022) and hand washing behavior. However, there were no significant correlation between latest education level (p-value = 0.213) and employment status (p-value = 0.118) and hand washing behavior. The individual characteristics which was correlate with hand washing behavior is gender, while latest education level and employment status have no correlation with hand washing behavior as COVID-19 prevention effort on young adults in Pekanbaru City 2021.
Tyagita Widya Sari Cindy Herwiti ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2024-01-03 2024-01-03 1 4 9 20 GAMBARAN KARAKTERISTIK IBU POST SECTIO CESAREA TERKAIT PENYEMBUHAN LUKA http://jurnal.univrab.ac.id/index.php/jika/article/view/4134
Sectio caesarea is a delivery method that is carried out by making an open incision in the uterine wall, causing wounds in the abdominal area. Based on data from the Global Tuberculosis Report in 2022, Indonesia ranks as the second highest TB case after India. This study aims to evaluate the suitability of OAT use in pulmonary tuberculosis patients at the Sidomulyo pekanbaru Health Center from January-December 2022 based on the 2014 Tuberculosis Prevention guidelines by the Ministry of health of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as the relationship between age, duration of treatment, gender, and chronic comorbidities to patient treatment outcomes, and analysis of the level of adherence of pulmonary TB patients. This study is a non-experimental descriptive research with retrospective data retrieval. The results showed that the type of OAT given is OAT type KDT (fixed dose combination) of 99% with a cure rate of 80%. Suitability of indications, dosage and selection of OAT combination has been in accordance with the standards of the National TB guidelines in 2014. Analysis of the relationship between several factors on the results of treatment of patients obtained from the statistical analysis of chi-square test concluded that the age factor (p=0.00001;p<0.05) has a significant relationship while gender (p=0.064;p>0.05), duration of treatment (p=0.860;p>0.05) and chronic comorbidities (p=0.826;p>0.05) had no significant relationship to the patient's treatment outcomes. Under certain conditions, Malassezia furfur can cause Pityriasis versicolor (Tinea versicolor). Pityriasis versicolor can generally be treated with azole antifungals. However, recently it has been widely known that Malassezia furfur has experienced resistance. Therefore, a nanoparticle approach was sought. This research aims to synthesize and characterize turmeric infused silver nanoparticles, as well as test the antifungal activity of silver nanoparticles against Malassezia furfur. This research method begins with preparation of turmeric infusion, synthesis of silver nanoparticles using turmeric infusion and characterization using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer, and testing the antifungal activity of silver nanoparticles with ratios of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:6 at a stirring time of 3 hours, 6 hours, and 24 hours using the well method. The results showed that the color of the solution changed from yellow to yellowish brown. Characterization of silver nanoparticles using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer obtained the highest absorbance value at a ratio of 1:6 with a stirring time of 24 hours with a wavelength of 393nm. The antifungal activity test showed that the highest inhibition zone was at a ratio of 1:6 with a stirring time of 6 hours with an average diameter of the inhibition zone of 8.17mm and the lowest was at a ratio of 1:6 with a stirring time of 24 hours with an average diameter of the inhibition zone of 2.78mm.
