NEUROPATI PERIFER PADA KEHAMILAN
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Peripheral neuropathy in pregnant women does not always appear in pregnancy, but when complaints occur it can cause complaints in pregnant women. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS), meralgia parestethica, and low back pain are the most common disorders experienced by pregnant women during pregnancy. In pregnancy it is reported as 7%-43%. CTS that appears in the first or second trimester usually worsens in the third trimester. Meralgia paresthetica is common in patients with CTS and is associated with pregnancy. Research conducted by Kesikburun et al on 184 pregnant women reported several musculoskeletal complaints during pregnancy, namely: CTS 59 people (32.1%), meralgia paresthetica 41 people (22.3%). Meralgia paresthetica occurs due to disruption of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve. When the nerve crosses the pelvis to the thigh, there is an angle of 70±90° which makes the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve susceptible to compression and compression. These conditions most often hinder obesity and pregnancy. Pregnancy is a phenomenon in women that can change physical and physiological changes in sequence. Increased body mass index, relaxin hormone, posture changes during pregnancy, stress and depression cause pregnant women to often experience low back pain (Low Back Pain). Research on 408 pregnant women in Jordan showed that 310 pregnant women experienced low back pain (76%).
