CASE STUDY APLIKASI NEUROMUSCULAR TAPING KASUS BELL’S PALSY PADA PENGALAMAN PRAKTEK FISIOTERAPI DI KLINIK KINETA SIDOARJO TAHUN 2018

Abstract

Background. Bell's palsy is an idiopathic, acute, and peripheral disease that involves the facial nerve which secretes facial muscles. Bell's palsy usually comes with a sudden and rapid attack, marked by unilateral facial weakness, agreeing within a few hours. The patient can also win ipsilateral ear pain, as well as facial numbness. Purpose. This study discusses palsy bell patients to restore facial muscle function. Physiotherapy interventions that can be given to patients with bells in overcoming decreased muscle function in the facial muscles can be done with a variety of actions supported by the provision of Neuromuscular Taping techniques. Research methods. The research conducted is a case study with a pre and post test research design. Results. The results of the study on the sample I got facial functional improvements at T0 score of 23 and on T3 got a score of 100. In sample II got facial functional improvement on T0 score 38 and on T6 got a score of 100. Then in sample III there was a change in improvement in facial functional ability . At T0 the score is 50 and on T4 the score is 100.
