<p><em>The high level of economic activity and population density has resulted in Surabaya City, Gresik Regency, and Sidoarjo Regency experiencing a high level of community mobility, necessitating good public transportation services. Therefore, on February 10, 2021, PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Regional Operation 8 Surabaya initiated passenger train services in Gresik Regency by operating the Commuter Train with the route from Indro Station (Gresik) to Sidoarjo Station. This study aims to determine a fare that is suitable for the Commuter Train service from Sidoarjo to Indro using the willingness to pay (WTP) method. Based on the research findings, the willingness to pay value for the Sidoarjo-Indro Commuter Train journey with the existing fare of Rp 5,000 is Rp 7,700. <p><em>The increasing population and resulting increase in traffic volume can affect the condition of road surface construction, in this case causing a decline in the quality of the city's roads. The Kebonagung Highway - Pepen, is the main road that has experienced a decline in road quality. Based on observations, the SDI (surface distress index) method is good for determining road surface conditions on the Kebonagung - Pepen highway and mapping using </em><em>SIG</em><em>. The types of damage found at the research location include checkerboard cracks, longitudinal cracks, crocodile skin cracks, edge cracks, holes, wheel marks (grooves), patch damage, fall damage, and subsidence damage. The percentage results of road damage values based on the SDI method for the area of damage were 1.66% square cracks, 2.81% longitudinal cracks, 3.14% crocodile skin cracks, 2.27% edge cracks, 0.23% holes, 2 .87% wheel marks (grooves), 2.03% patch damage, 3.65% fall damage, and 0.22% sink damage. The condition value using the method on the Jalan Raya Kebonagung - Jalan Raya Pepen section shows good condition at STA 0+000 - 8+100 because it produces an SDI value (<50). From the results obtained all damage values ​​were based on the SDI method. So this research aims to find an index of the level of damage to the road pavement on the Malang - Kepanjen arterial road section with the help of civil engineering using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method and mapping of the condition of road damage in the research area using the help of the Geographic Information System (GIS) will be carried out. Based on the results of the analysis and calculations, the condition of road surface damage was obtained, namely, shoving, rutting, depression, patches, holes, alligator cracks, longitudinal cracks, edge cracks, and block cracks. Meanwhile, the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) value for each road, namely the Kebonagung highway has a PCI value of 76.8 (Very Good) and the Genengan highway has a PCI value of 80.75 (Very Good). Therefore, an analysis of traffic flow characteristics is necessary. In this study, a mathematical model approach using the Greenberg method was employed. The research and analysis on Jaksa Agung Suprapto Road yielded results using the Greenberg method, with the highest R2 value occurring on Fridays, specifically in segment 7, at 0.89. The variable values obtained for this segment include the Maximum Volume (Vm) at 5523.05 pcu/hour, Free Flow Speed (Uf) at 73.01 km/h, Maximum Speed (Um) at 9.98 km/h, and Saturation Density (Dj) at 1504.53 pcu/km. <p><em>The train is a mode of transportation that continues to experience improvements in its services. PT. KAI has implemented the latest service, where all trains are equipped with air conditioning facilities. With these changes, each mode of transportation, particularly the Premium Sancaka Train and the Premium Mutiara Selatan Train, displays differences in characteristics such as ticket prices, travel time, and departure schedules. This study specifically selects the Premium Sancaka Train and the Premium Mutiara Selatan Train due to their closely scheduled departures. Therefore, the objective of this research is to determine the probability of train selection, necessitating a study related to factors that will be analyzed by distributing questionnaires and utilizing the Stated Preference method. From this study, significant results have been obtained regarding the likelihood of mode selection based on a ticket price difference of Rp. 20,000. The probability values for the Premium Sancaka Train (PKAS) and Premium Mutiara Selatan Train (PKAM) are 0.808 and 0.192, respectively. It can be concluded that respondents have a higher interest in the Premium Sancaka Train due to its lower ticket price. On the other hand, the probability of mode selection based on a travel time difference of -6 minutes shows values of 0.891 for PKAS and 0.109 for PKAM. <p><em>Project performance is assessed based on schedule, cost, and quality. Time and cost measurements must be carried out regularly to identify if there is a discrepancy with the plan. In the XYZ road construction project in East Java Province, a deviation of 20.707% was found in the 19th week, so it is necessary to analyze the concept of the value of results to determine the future development of the project. To analyze the spread of project uncertainty, Monte Carlo simulation is used by modeling the system with random numbers. The random number generated is the number between the minimum and maximum RAB for each type of work in the project. After repetition according to the number of iterations obtained with a relative error value of 2%. Then the frequency graph and normal distribution are analyzed, so it can be seen that the project must provide costs of Rp 11,031,591,805.11, Rp 16,742,117,603.03, and Rp 21,981,246,725.01 for performance evaluation at 50%, 75%, and 100% performance reviews. The SPI calculation result in week 19 is 0.409, indicating that the project is behind schedule. <p><em>In the Malang Regency area, several arterial roads experience pavement damage, such as on Jalan Raya Talangagung - Jalan Raya Jatikerto which is one of the arterial roads that can lead to Blitar Regency. Based on this phenomenon, it is necessary to conduct a review or research to determine the condition of the road pavement, so that it can help in making policies or choosing the right maintenance system. The method used in determining the condition of road damage is the Bina Marga method which has the final result in the form of a priority order value and mapping of road damage conditions in the research area using Geographic Information System (GIS) tools. Based on the results of the analysis and calculation, the damage conditions of the pavement are obtained namely, crocodile skin cracks, transverse cracks, longitudinal cracks, patches, grain release, fatness, random cracks, holes, and grooves. Then the priority order value on Jalan Raya Talangagung is 5, so the road is included in the periodic maintenance program, while on Jalan Raya Jatikerto a priority order value of 3 is obtained, so the road is included in the improvement program. <p><em>Acceleration of the duration of project completion often occurs because it is influenced by several factors which cause the project to be completed before the specified time. The Time Cost Trade Off (TCTO) method is a time and cost comparison method used to shorten the implementation time of construction projects. The X arterial road project which is the case study in this research has completed 35.45% of the work with a percentage of delays that must be caught up at 5.3%. The acceleration analysis in this case study implements the TCTO method with alternative work hours (overtime) and heavy equipment on critical project work to obtain efficient results in terms of time and cost. As a result, it was found that normal labor costs and normal project duration for the remaining critical work were IDR. 802,650,747.00 with a remaining settlement duration of 89 days. Then after acceleration, we obtained an additional 4 hours of overtime work per day and additional heavy equipment with a labor cost of IDR. 278,314,091.00 which can shorten the duration by 56 days. <p>Ketingan Beach is no stranger to the people of Sidoarjo, apart from being a beach tourist attraction in the District. Sidoarjo, with its mangrove forest ecosystem as a mangrove tourist attraction, also has historical value, making it a pilgrimage tourist spot. The large number of activities that occur around the Ketingan area can affect the water quality of Ketingan beach itself, if the water quality is poor it can damage the potential of Ketingan beach. Based on this background, it is necessary to carry out water quality measurement research to monitor the distribution of Total Suspended Solid (TSS), Sea Surface Temperature and Salinity in 2023 at Ketingan Beach using Landsat 8 Satellite Imagery. The results of the analysis show that the in situ data value for Total Suspended Solid is 61 ( mg/l) - 152 (mg/l) and for the in situ sea surface temperature of Ketingan Sidoarjo Waters it ranges between 18.4°C - 24.4°C while for in situ salinity it ranges between 31 (ppt) - 34 (ppt). From the image data with the highest correlation value, the Total Suspended Solid value was obtained at 99.60 (mg/l) – 110.82 (mg/l) and for sea surface temperature it ranged between 19.41°C – 24°C while for salinity it ranged between 32 .36 (ppt) - 34.57 (ppt). Meanwhile, the correlation value between Total Suspended Solid (TSS) and Sea Surface Temperature was produced using a correlation test with a value of -0.999974332, which means that these two variables have a very strong negative correlation value. The correlation value between Total Suspended Solid (TSS) and Salinity produces a correlation value of 0.341614101, which means that these two variables have a fairly low positive correlation value. Therefore, this research can be a reference in subsequent research and map the distribution of Total Suspended Solid (TSS), Sea Surface Temperature and Salinity and monitor the increase or decrease in Total Suspended Solid (TSS), Sea Surface Temperature and Salinity. <p><em>Jalan Raya Kletek is one of the roads known as a T-junction (junction three) that connects Surabaya-Sidoarjo city and Surabaya-Madiun. This road is included in the 4/2D lane type. One of the problems that often occurs here is traffic congestion, due to economic growth and vehicle ownership which is the cause. Seeing traffic conditions like this, it is necessary to analyze traffic characteristics referring to three main parameters, namely, volume, speed and density. One of the models that will be used to carry out this analysis is the Underwood model. From the results of the analysis carried out on Jalan Raya Kletek, it was found that the largest R2 value was on Friday Segment 1 Line 2 (Surabaya direction) with a value of 0.79. The values ​​for each variable obtained in this segment are, Qmax of 3099.35 pcu/hour, Vf of 36.57 km/hour, Vm of 13.45 km/hour and Dm of 230.41 pcu/km. <p>The issue of environmental pollution has become a strategic issue because of its chain effects on all aspects of life. The construction of the City of Pekanbaru wastewater treatment facility is aimed at the treatment of domestic wastewater due to the density of the population and economic activity so that the quality of the environment is awakened. In this study, the risk of delay in the construction of a sewage treatment facility B1 in Pekanbaru was identified using the Relative Importance Index. (RII). The actual work duration is delayed against the duration of the original plan. Risk analysis uses a stochastic approach to the duration of work. In this analysis, the probability distribution function triangle distribution with 3-point estimate is used. This risk simulation uses @risk software with a maximum of 100,000 iterations. Work in the critical trajectory plays a crucial role in setting the project completion timetable. Initially, the estimated time of execution of the work was 1,075 days. The data required for this research is to use primary data by taking samples of rainwater, well water and sea water by researchers directly. From the results of tests carried out on 3 water samples, rainwater, well water and sea water, it was found that rainwater has the best clean water quality compared to well water and sea water by testing physical, chemical and microbiological parameters. <p><em>Sand dredging activities in the Krueng Aceh river, which is the main and largest river in the Aceh Besar Regency and Banda Aceh City, causes degradation of the bottom of the Krueng Aceh River which can trigger the collapse of river banks.Therefore, a study was carried out on planning the construction of krib as an alternative building that could protect the banks of the Krueng River in Aceh from water scouring which occurs especially during floods. The location of this planning study is located in Capeung Village, Seulimuem District, Aceh Besar Regency. The data used in this planning study includes rainfall data, topographic maps, soil mechanics data and maps of the Krueng Aceh watershed. Calculations carried out in this planning study include calculating rainfall and planned flood discharge, krib construction planning and krib stability analysis. The planned krib construction has a length of 5 meters and the distance between the krib is 10 meters. The height of the krib at the base is 0.75 meters and at the ends 0.5 meters. The construction of the krib is planned to be inclined towards the upstream by 10<sup>o</sup>, the slope of the krib protection layer is 1:2.5 and the slope of the lighthouse krib is 1:20. <p><strong><em>Abstract</em></strong></p> <p><em>Due the construction phase in project of the Dhoho Kediri International Airport Toll Road at STA 7+000 – STA 7+100 mentioned soft soil, leading to significant and time-consuming consolidation. In an effort to expedite the consolidation process, the preloading method with Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD) is applied. This method includes backfilling plan and PVD installation to reduce the flow of pore water in the soil, allowing for faster consolidation. This research aims to enhance the effectiveness of soil improvement by evaluating the influence of PVD installation distances in a square pattern. The research focuses on the analysis of soil parameters and PVD installation at distances ranging from 1.1m to 1.7m. The results indicate that the installation of square-patterned PVD is effective in accelerating consolidation. The final settlement prediction using the Terzaghi One-Dimensional approach provides practical references. Simulation results for distances between 1.1m and 1.7m show that 1.1m is the most effective distance because closer PVD installations result in faster consolidation times. This is evidenced by the consolidation time comparison, where without PVD, it takes 51,92 years to achieve 90% consolidation, while with PVD, it only requires 144 days. On Java Island, there are 2 railway routes, namely the northern route (pantura) and the southern route. For the northern route or the North Coast route connecting Jakarta and Surabaya, it is already a double track. While for the southern route in the form of a double track, it is still realized on the Jombang - Mojokerto track. Then, on the Mojokerto - Boharan track, the existing railway line is still a single track or single track. The main focus of this study is the planning of a double track railway at the placement of Mojokerto - Boharan Station (KM 53 + 400 - KM 51 + 700). Therefore, this research needs to be carried out to find out the factors that influence the number of trip generation, look for the best generation model and find out how much movement generation there is at the Surabaya Wholesale Center currently and predict the number of visitors in the projected life of the next five years. This research was conducted to analyze the impact of movement generation at this location, and predict the number of visitors at the Surabaya Wholesale Center using the multiple linear regression analysis method, which was then continued with trip generation analysis using the Detroit method. From the research results, it was found that the distribution of trips using the Detroit method was 102 trips in the next 5 years with a total growth of 13.98% per year. From the multiple linear regression equation, we get a generation equation model with the independent variable (X1) being age and the variable (X2) being the type of work, because it influences the generation (Y). <p><em>Large</em><em> magnitude earthquakes often trigger liquefaction phenomenon in granular soil deposits. One of the major liquefaction events in Indonesia occurred during the 2018 Palu earthquake, which caused economic losses around 1.1 billion USD. Liquefaction can be mitigated by evaluating the risk and impact it will cause. The events can be modeled numerically by using the SPH method. SPH is a continuum method that doesn’t need to simulate numerical model. The advantage of using SPH is its ability to model large deformation phenomenon using Lagrangian approach. In this research, SPH was used to model the failure mechanism of 2D saturated granular soil column with 0.6 m x 2.0 m dimension. Soil constitutive model used is elasto-plastic, where plastic deformation is measured using Drucker-Prager failure criterion. The interaction between soil-water particles is represented by the seepage force, following the research model of Korzani et al. (2017). <p><em>Soft soil is one type of soil that often causes problems if proper planning is not carried out. An alternative method to improve the bearing capacity of soft soil is by utilizing bamboo materials as piles and mattress in the foundation of a building structure. Bamboo material is chosen because of its advantages such as abundance, affordability, short harvesting period, environmental friendly, and buoyancy optimization. In this study, a comparison of settlement was conducted between finite element method and field instrumentation observations on a wharf structure along the Kapuas River in Pontianak, which utilizes bamboo mattress piles as soil reinforcement. The soil deposit at the site is predominantly soft soil up to 28 m for the thickness with shallow groundwater levels. Stability and settlement analyses were performed using finite element method utilizing Plaxis software. The construction of the revetment structure was done gradually following observations from instrumentation. In the numerical analysis, the soil layers were modeled as Mohr-Coulomb materials. Bamboo piles were modeled as elastic-plastic springs, while bamboo mattress were modeled as elastic beams. From the instrumentation observations and numerical analysis, it was found that the revetment structure with bamboo pile and mattress provided stability against sliding and failure of bearing capacity. <p><em>The congestion that occurs at Pasar Kembang street - Diponegoro street and Banyu Urip street - Girilaya street has three intersections that are close together and around the intersection there are various land uses, causing high community activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the traffic performance and ideal time coordination at the signalized intersection of Banyu Urip street - Pasar Kembang street. Primary data required for this study are intersection geometric data, cycle time data, vehicle volume data and vehicle travel time data. Meanwhile, the secondary data in this study are population data and the number of motorized vehicles in Surabaya City. Analysis of signalized intersection performance calculations refers to the 2014 PKJI guidelines. Based on the results of the calculation of the traffic performance of the three intersections, it was found that the degree of saturation (DJ) in the 5-year plan life improvement condition at the first intersection Girilaya street, Banyu Urip street and Diponegoro street was 0.93 (average intersection delay = 81.716 sec/skr). Second Intersection Diponegoro street, Pasar Kembang street and Banyu Urip street amounted to 0.84 (average intersection delay = 43.257 sec/skr). Third Intersection Jalan Pasar Kembang and Jalan Pasar Kembang of 0.94 (average intersection delay = 67.887 sec/skr). <p><em>The Jlantah Dam is a multi-purpose dam that was built in 2019. Besides the benefits, the dam also has potential danger if it floods and cause overtopping. Flood discharge is influenced by rainfall and land cover conditions. BMKG noted that the La Nina phenomenon occurred in 2020 – 2022 which had an impact on increasing rain intensity. Apart from that, from 2017 – 2023 there has been a change in land cover in the Jlantah Dam catchmen area. This research aims to analyze flood discharge at Jlantah Dam with current rain conditions and land cover and evaluate the safety of the dam against overtopping through HEC-HMS flood routing. The results of the HEC-HMS flood discharge analysis show that there is an increase in average flood discharge of ± 3,27% from the 2017 study. Based on the results of the flood routing, the dam's freeboard at discharge return periods 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 1000 years, and PMF respectively: 4,2 m; 3,9m; 3,8m; 3,5m; 3,3m; 3m; 2,6m; and 0,9m. At the PMF discharge there was a decrease in the freeboard of 0,35 m from the 2017 study but it remained safe against overtopping. <p>The application of BIM in Indonesia in building planning which refers to SNI 1726:2019 is still very minimal. This research involves two different types of buildings, namely hotel buildings and hospitals. The modeling used is simple concrete building structure modeling with variations of 3, 9 and 12 floors in Revit as a model. The same BIM model is used in the Structural Analysis Robot and then the results of the two buildings are compared, namely the comparison of story shear and story displacement. The research methods used are data collection, BIM modeling using the latest software, and seismic analysis taking into account the parameters described in SNI 1726:2019. <p><em>The issues of climate crisis and sustainability have garnered significant attention in the 21st century, driven by the industrial revolution and the burgeoning human population. This has resulted in various environmental challenges, including energy crises, global warming, and the scarcity of water resources. Sustainable cities must consider economic, infrastructural, social, and environmental aspects. One of the environmental challenges in urban development is the availability of water in the future. Vertical drainage utilizing pervious concrete technology is regarded as a solution to address this issue. Pervious concrete contains voids that enhance water absorption.This study aims to optimize the compressive strength, tensile strength, and permeability of pervious concrete through the addition of polyamide fibers. The findings indicate that the addition of 1.25% fibers enhances the tensile strength of concrete, albeit at the expense of compressive strength. <p>Perencanaan struktur bangunan terhadap gempa sangat penting untuk memastikan keruntuhan inelastis terbatas pada sendi plastis dalam balok-balok. Daktilitas dan kapasitas deformasi inelastis yang cukup diperlukan, terutama dalam struktur beton bertulang, di mana ketahanan terhadap kegagalan getas penting untuk integritas struktural. Dalam zona seismik, desain struktur dengan perilaku daktail diperlukan, dengan kekuatan deformasi yang melampaui elastisitas tanpa kehilangan kemampuan operasional. Perhitungan daktilitas kurvatur penampang pada sendi plastis diperlukan untuk menentukan faktor jenis struktur. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa rasio tulangan lentur, jenis material, dan geometri penampang mempengaruhi daktilitas. Rasio tulangan lentur yang besar meningkatkan kapasitas penampang untuk menahan momen, tetapi tidak signifikan meningkatkan kapasitas kurvatur. Penggunaan beton <em>fiber</em> meningkatkan regangan, namun beton konvensional memiliki nilai daktilitas kurvatur yang lebih baik. Penampang persegi cenderung memiliki daktilitas lebih baik daripada penampang lingkaran dengan luas yang hampir sama. <p><em>Indonesia is one of the countries with the greatest risk of earthquakes in the world. Earthquakes that can damage or even collapse buildings make building design have to be earthquake resistant. Therefore, buildings must be designed respect to SNI 1726:2019 and SNI 2847:2019 earthquake resistant building planning standards. This study will investigate the comparison of the SMF structural design with two types of modelling concepts, namely the rectangular/conventional beam concept and the T-beam concept in the form of a comparison of reinforcement requirements, SCWB ratio, and structure performance level. This study was conducted in a five-story office building located in the city of Bandung which stands on soft soil. From the results of the calculation analysis, it was found that the column and plate reinforcement requirements were the same for both types of modelling concepts. Beam reinforcement requirements with the concept of rectangular beam modelling is higher than the concept of T-beam modelling. The SCWB ratio with the rectangular beam modelling concept is smaller than the SCWB ratio with the T-beam modelling concept. The SCWB ratio obtained by re-analysis using T-beams in the rectangular beam modelling design will be significantly reduced (20-35%) and there is even a SCWB ratio that is not qualified because it is less than 1.2. <p><span style="vertical-align: inherit;"><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">Banjir adalah suatu keadaan dimana jumlah air yang berlebihan melebihi kapasitas suatu saluran air atau suatu wilayah tertentu, sehingga mengakibatkan air merendam daratan yang biasanya tidak tergenang. </span><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">Jalan Manukan Lor II yang terletak di Surabaya merupakan kawasan yang kerap terendam air saat curah hujan tinggi. </span><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">Permasalahan ini terus menerus muncul hampir setiap tahun, dan hingga saat ini belum ada solusi yang optimal. </span><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">Hal ini dapat menimbulkan kesulitan dan ancaman terhadap keselamatan dan kesehatan masyarakat. </span><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut diperlukan analisa terhadap saluran drainase. </span><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui debit air yang dapat mengalir melalui saluran drainase eksisting dan merencanakan dimensi penampang saluran drainase yang sesuai guna mencegah terjadinya banjir. </span><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif yang meliputi analisis awal penelitian, studi literatur, analisis data, rekapitulasi data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. </span><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">Hasil penelitian ini debit air pada saluran drainase eksisting mencapai 2,61 m³/detik, lebih kecil dibandingkan debit saluran rencana yang mencapai 3,58 m³/detik. </span><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">Kondisi ini dinilai tidak aman sehingga memerlukan perencanaan ulang saluran drainase untuk meningkatkan kapasitas dan keamanan saluran drainase. </span><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">Dimensi saluran yang diperoleh antara lain tinggi saluran (h) sebesar 0,5 m, lebar saluran (B) sebesar 1 m, tinggi pengaman (w) sebesar 0,5 m, dan debit (Q) sebesar 3,58 m³/detik. </span><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">Data ini dapat menjadi acuan penting untuk perbaikan dan pengembangan sistem drainase di Jalan Manukan Lor II.</span></span></p>Friska Windi Meira AisyahEko SiswantoSony Susanto

<p><em>The inelastic behavior of earthquake-resistant buildings is expected to be able to withstand the cyclic loads that occur due to earthquake loads. The inelastic behavior of a building can be seen from the force-displacement curve. The curve can be obtained using several approaches, but each approach can provide different values. In this study, a backbone curve will be constructed using three approaches, namely the analytical approach, XTRACT software, and the ASCE 41-17 method. The specimen under review is a rectangular column with a single cantilever test configuration. The review parameters were the type, spacing, and area of reinforcement as well as the axial force ratio. The backbone curve obtained is compared with the experimental backbone curve. Based on the analysis, it was found that the most conservative method was ASCE 41-17. <p><em>Soil shear strength is an important component in infrastructure design. Many tests can be carried out to determine the shear strength of soil. The Cone Penetration Test (CPT) is a test commonly carried out to predict the shear strength of soil. Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) is often used to predict the value of soil shear strength in the form of the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) to determine the thickness of highway pavement. The shear strength of clay soil for building design purposes is usually expressed in undrained cohesion (c<sub>u</sub>) which can be obtained from CPT testing. With DCP and CPT tests carried out at the same location, the relationship between the shear strength parameters from these tests will be obtained. The results obtained were CBR = 0.2504 q<sub>c</sub>(kg/cm2) and c<sub>u</sub> (kPa) = 14.455 CBR (%). <p>Mentawai islands are one of the regions that utilize the tourism sector to support their development. Mentawai is a favorite destination for surfing tourists from abroad. In general, tourism in Mentawai island has a good impact on the local economy. Infrastructure development in the Mentawai island is still lagging behind compared to other cities in West Sumatera. The development process in Mentawai should receive serious attention considering that Mentawai is an prone area to earthquake and tsunami disasters. The increase in the potential for earthquake and tsunamis is not matched by the communit’s readiness to face them. To reduce the risk of loss live in earthquake prone area, earthquake resistant building standards are very important to implement. Earthquake resistant buildings must be applied from the planning stage, not just during the construction process. SDN 12 Muntei is one of the buildings that can be used by the public as an elementary school. Investigation of the initial design of the building foundation in previous research found that the allowable capacity of the foundation not be able to support axial load on the building, so a redesign of the foundation cross section was recommended. After redesigning the foundation with a fixed footing type as in previous research, it is recommended that the foundation be at a depth of (D) = 1.5 meter with a width of (B) = 1.3 meter. The Safety Factor (SF) value to determine the allowable capacity of the foundation (Qa) is taken as 3. From the results the analysis of the allowable capacity with new cross section dimension, the value of Qa= 378.76 KN and the value of the maximum load on building (Pmaks)= 339 KN. <p><em>Volume instability in expansive soils due to changes in moisture content results in damage to the supporting structure. Soil improvement is one of the efforts made for soil improvement. Soil stabilization is one part of soil improvement. Appropriate soil improvement needs to be carried out to see the performance of the soil to meet post-construction stability requirements. Chemical stabilization using cementitious soil materials can improve the engineering properties of expansive soils. The research objective is to analyze the value of engineering properties of expansive soil with cement. Experimental research method to determine the value of California Bearing Ratio (CBR and Atterberg limits. Expansive soil was stabilized with cement with variations of 10, 12, and 14% cement by weight. As a result, the value of engineering properties increased, namely the maximum CBR value of 7.40% in the 14% variation at a curing time of 7 days. The smallest PI value in the 14% cement variation is 13.65%, there is a decrease in PI value with the addition of cement.
