PUBLICATION ETHICS

Editors, reviewers, and writers involved in the manuscript management process at Psychopolytan: Jurnal Psikologi must understand and commit toward the ethics of scientific publications to do the right science.

Editor

  1. The editor must decide which script should proceed to the Review process, determine the appropriate reviewers, do revisions request, and maintain the quality of the article in its content and appearance.
  2. The editor must ensure that the literature review process is carried out properly and correctly, based on the APA Manual Publication.
  3. The editor maintains the confidentiality of the identities of the authors and reviewers in the double-blind review process. However, the editor has the right to provide input to the manuscript to maintain the quality of the article.
  4. Editors must have the principle of neutrality and objectivity, that there should not be discrimination against writers based on their identities in the submission and publication process.
  5. Editors must not be involved in political interests in accepting articles
  6. Editors are obliged to receive complaints from authors which can be submitted via Email: [email protected]

 Reviewer

  1. The reviewer must make a decision about the text: rejected or accepted (with or without revision/revision).
  2. Reviewers must provide constructive feedback, suggestions, recommendations, and criticisms for improving the quality of articles.
  3. Reviewers must have the principle of confidentiality, where they are not permitted to discuss texts with other parties without the knowledge of the editorial team.

Author

  1. The author must obey the rules and writing format used by Psychopolytan: Jurnal Psikologi. the template can Click here
  2. Manuscripts must be original, may not be published before submission, and are not being processed for publication in another journal.
  3. The writer must ensure that the text is free of plagiarism and self-plagiarism. This means that every text in the article (other than direct quotation) must be paraphrased and does not direct the text copied from other sources. Every citation in the article must have a reference, for example, each author's name listed in the manuscript must be listed in the reference list. Every article at least have 15 reference
  4. Studies reported by the authors must comply with ethical principles in conducting research.
